Belt Back Kakishibu Jeans

We started with vintage Levi’s, every seam is disassembled. adding structure where needed and reinforcing stress points with chain stitch throughout. The idea was to keep the feeling of old denim but add longevity.

The removable back belt is designed for suspender buttons. Inspired by old buckle-backs, it lets you fine-tune the fit in half-inch increments. It attaches to the original suspender buttons and comes off easily for washing. Each pair is finished with a kakishibu coating—a natural dye with antimicrobial properties—and raw copper hardware. Everything else is reclaimed.
